Simeulue Surflodges

Simeulue Surflodges is an accommodation situated in a small sheltered bay on the west coast of the island and you can choose from two options; three cabanas that both have room for two people as well (each cabana has two single beds) and a treehouse on poles that also has two single beds, it’s a bit bigger than the other rooms. All the rooms are equipped with an individually adjustable air conditioning system. Every room has their own private bathroom with shower, toilet (western style) including shower supplies and a water dispenser with free coffee, tea and cold water. They all have their own private veranda with comfortable sun loungers overlooking the stunning Indian ocean, the surf-break Dylans and an amazing sunset in the evening.

Indonesian style

All the houses of the retreat are built in a typical Indonesian style, to keep the charm of the island and its culture in peace. All the accommodations, furniture etc. is made by local professionals so no bricks or western style buildings on our land! So it looks authentic Indonesian from the outside, but has got all the Western comfort on the inside, including soft beds/mattresses for a good night sleep!

Western comfort

An absolute unique thing about the accommodation is our own saltwater swimming pool with a relaxing sundeck surrounding it. Enjoy a swim, make a campfire, or have a drink while watching the sunset. You can walk to the small beach, about 2 minutes away from the resort, or just enjoy your own private pool!

There is a big garden surrounding our surf retreat, where we grow our own fruit and vegetables, to make sure fresh products are served every day.

The lodge is provided with a TV to watch surf movies, a kitchen and a comfortable lounge. Because of the small scale of the surf resort, you will not encounter many tourists during your stay. We deliberately decided to keep it small and cosy, and can accommodate up to 10 guests. Private hire is available as well and starts from 8 to 9 guests, please inquire about prices for private hire of the resort.
